Vashta Entertainment & More
The clearest proof I can take a product from idea to shipped: an independent studio I cofounded, still run, and have driven to 2M+ downloads across multiple released titles.
Vashta Entertainment is a small independent studio I run with Bret Black. Together we handle everything from product vision to technical architecture to creative direction, and we've shipped finished titles as a tiny team with limited time and budget.
It's not something that stays a hobby and never ships. We finish things and put them out into the world. If you're interested in what we do, check out our website.
What it demonstrates
The skills the studio proves.
End-to-end ownership
Partnered in bringing titles from concept through release and post-launch: product vision, architecture, and creative direction.
Scope under constraints
Managed roadmap, scope, and iterative delivery with a small team and tight resources, shipping repeatedly instead of over-building.
Technical architecture
Designed and built game systems spanning gameplay logic, UI, tooling, and content pipelines.
Cross-disciplinary leadership
Programming, visual design, audio production, and narrative into one coherent, shipped product.
Selected titles
Shipped work.
A sample of released titles. Several also feature original music and sound design I produced. More of that on the music page.
- Castles of War The soon to be released spiritual successor to Trenches of War.
- Trenches of War A WWI side-scrolling RTS App and PC title.
- Harvested A sci-fi RTS combined with top-down shooter mechanics.
- River Rider A fun relaxing app for mobile devices.
- Bouncy Cube A new twist on a classic geometry dash style game.

ARC Adventures
Beyond Vashta, I contributed in a creative and technical capacity to ARC Adventures, an educational game that now sits in hundreds of school districts across the U.S.
The same instinct, applied to work.
The studio shows how I operate. The technical projects show where it goes at work.
